ABSTRACT

In this chapter, the author highlights some of the experiences or ideas people took away from the seminars and anticipates how they might develop their learning about consultation further—once they were working on their own. He designs some questions to enable participants to review the seminars as well as their own attempts to put things into practice. These questions are: “what specific things does the author do differently in his consultation work?”, “what is the most important way his understanding of consultation has changed?” and “what were the three most helpful skills participants have acquired for doing systemic consultation?” They also include “what were the teaching techniques during this seminar which were most helpful for participants’ learning about consultation?”, “what were the most important parts of the process of learning consultation?”, “what has the experience of this seminar taught participants about learning?” and “what would be the next stage for the author’s learning about consultation?”
