Psychotherapy in prison: the ultimate container?
Escorted along seemingly interminable corridors and through gate after gate by a member of staff, I have no keys: my release depends on the goodwill-and author ity-of someone else. I can ask to be let out of the prison; my clients cannot. Most of them are on E Wing, which accommo dates "lifers". E Wing is an induction wing; here some 180 in mates serve the first few years of a sentence that may span well over a decade.
