ABSTRACT

Relaxation can play an important part in dealing with stress. The popularity of biofeedback has varied since it began being used in the 1960s. There is resurgence in its use, particularly in the stress management field. Many people who experience stress find that poor time management is a factor in their lives. Stress is one of the main causes of sleep disturbance. Stress is a very personal matter. In 1967, Thomas Holmes and Richard Rahe, two American psychologists, published a scale of forty-three life events considered to be stressful. Each event was scored according to the degree of stress associated with the activity. Good experiences usually entail a degree of change, and it can be the changes to lifestyle and the need to develop new coping skills that contribute to the stress experienced. Many stressed individuals cite time management as one of their biggest challenges.
