Dr Charles Farthing brought the ill patient into the room, and his compassion and dedication to his work set a constructive mood, which continued throughout the day. 'Some participants who had done a lot of psychoanalysis kept on bringing up matters in a calculated way, and author felt a trifle manipulated by this. Group analysis has a tremendous amount to offer, but colleagues who had never experienced this model were commenting and sharing their confusion over how safe it was!
