ABSTRACT

When I first started in private practice, my then supervisor told me that the majority of her work came from employee assistance providers (EAPs) and other agencies. At the time, I found it hard to imagine that I would ever get work from an agency. I currently receive regular work from four EAPs and over the years have worked for four others at different stages. Approximately fifty per cent of my income now comes from such sources. For private practitioners looking to regularly work with a significant number of clients, they are a good source of referrals.
