ABSTRACT

This conclusion presents some closing thoughts on the concepts covered in the preceding chapters of this book. The book discusses a host of disciplines that delve into the realm of unconsciousness and/or leap into hyper-consciousness. They also are open windows and doors to let blow in a far-reaching understanding of the issues that pertain to Death and sorrow. The book argues that philosophical rationalism, dualism, and pragmatism, and the scientific positivism/neo-positivism that they underwrite, are inadequate to deal with sorrow’s profiles. To live through a grief episode authentically, or to research the phenomenon, one must be a rebel who eschews the dominant idea-frames of times. Death is the first word; and the last word is vitality. In specific, the arguments within the philosophy of science about verifying or falsifying knowledge-claims are merely the quibbles and quarrels between true believers within the Club of positivism.
