ABSTRACT

People tend to judge themselves so harshly, that although beauty should be internal, the authors will start with the physicality, otherwise they will not trust thier work. In this chapter, the authors tries to give them permission to find beauty for themselves by "lending" them thier kind eyes to appreciate how beautiful they are. They discoveres that the women who benefit the most from working with us are those who resist to begin with. Experiencing the shift in their own resistance creates a moment of reawakening, making them realise the issues they were carrying all along. The path is always an unexpected one, and unexpectedness is crucial and beneficial for going through a process of change. In psychotherapy, behavioural and external changes follow an internal change. The authors believe that change does not always happen from inside out. They hold the belief that deep emotional change can sometimes result from changes to the outside.
