ABSTRACT

Justine Grønbæk Pors is a student of organizations at the Department of Business Studies at Roskilde Universitycenter, Denmark. She is also Marianne’s daughter and, through her, has attended several seminars and consultation work based on Appreciative Inquiry and Semantic Polarities. The institution is a home and a place of treatment for homeless people, who often have a long history of drug or alcohol abuse. The institution has capacity for thirty clients; it has a group of twelve superintendent/managers, and there are fifty members of staff in all. The institution is especially known for a project called “It Is Possible”, which has succeed in getting young boys, who had no home and were serious drug abusers, back on track. Before the boys were introduced to this institution, they had no hopes for the future; today there are stories of how they now have homes and jobs and are struggling to reach their dreams of a normal life.
