ABSTRACT

In the fifth and final phase of consulting, the consultant's aim is mainly to end the consulting relationship in such a way that it can be rekindled whenever required. A strong case for "letting go", in order not to become mutually dependent with the client, has been made by Roger Harrison. He suggests some requirements for consultants who want to go through this phase of "exodus" healthily. In evaluation phase, the consultant checks once again, in cooperation with the client, whether there are sufficient measures in place to guarantee the consolidation of the change. As an evaluation of the consulting process in King Lear, the author would like to offer the responsibility of the management consultant has been working together with the client to improve the client's fortunes. With regard to that responsibility, one can distinguish three aspects: responsibility for the person of the client, responsibility for the role of the client, and responsibility for the organization of the client.
