ABSTRACT

This chapter presents the case study of Mark. Mark grew up in the Bible Belt of America. His father was a fundamentalist pastor who had serious mental health problems. The very first dream he brought to analysis was of coming to author as the student in a master class of a new and special maestro who was going to teach him how to play Beethoven’s Sonata 111, which was a new beginning involving an essential three (mother, father, and baby). After this first recognition of the task, Mark's dream mind seemed to embark on a theme of being lost in outer space, which vividly described the extent of his disconnection. Mark turned out to be a devoted and tireless part-time single parent and the resulting relationship with one of his sons was so good that he was joining his father in the USA.
