ABSTRACT

Attention to both nutritional and emotional needs can contribute powerfully to peace and reduce personal violence. The tendency to violent behaviour is imprinted though child-abuse, yet it can arise through difficulties at birth, an operation or accident, or from poor nutrition or toxins. Adrian Raine has shown a correlation between criminal violence and birth intervention followed by parental deprivation. Frank Lake, A. Janov, K. Stettbacher, and Alice Miller relate violence on every scale—including torture and war—to violence in life. Miller has revealed that all notorious brutal dictators— A. Hitler, J. Stalin, Saddam Hussein, and the rest—had as children suffered imprinting of violence, giving rise to social and international violence. The sense of peace, well-being, and prosperity is combined in the word "salaam" or "shalom", which are basically the same. Parents and carers can help in children's healing, particularly if they know how best to cope with violent tendencies. Nature has re-inspired industrial society.
