ABSTRACT
The notion of countertransference is a concept that is very close to everyday experience, around which multiple controversies have developed both in the technical and in the theoretical field. In fact, we can see that the characteristics, the importance, and the role of this notion vary widely according to the theoretical frame in which it is set. This introduces modifications in the concept.
