ABSTRACT

Expecting today’s modern learners to maximize their potential and develop the needed skills for tomorrow’s workforce, in a one-size-fits-all, sit-and-get, teacher-centric environment is simply educational malpractice. With all that we know about how students learn, all of the socially connected resources we have at our fingertips, and all of the innovative ways in which learning experiences are transforming in schools around the country, not evolving our practices to align with the needs of our students is a disservice to what today’s learners both need and deserve.
