ABSTRACT

In this chapter, I present the academic contributions as well as practical implications of my research study. The empirical explication of institutional logics and the theoretical integration of institutional logics with mediatization in the field of higher education are two core research contributions extended by this study. From a practical standpoint, the inter-institutional system of logics developed in this study offers a starting point to develop a comprehensive policy framework that can integrate diverse perspectives into a sustainable outlook for the future of higher education. The emergence of cyber-cultural logic is indeed a harbinger of things to come, making it imperative for us to thoroughly comprehend its strengths as well as limitations. I also offer some suggestions to align the emerging logic with the prevailing logics to bring sustainable change.
