ABSTRACT

The amount of data that is being accumulated every day is enormous and for the human mind even hard to grasp. To put the growth of data into perspective, one could imagine that in order to store this amount of data into human’s most valuable storage space, the brain, the data accumulated through the last four years would fill up all the brains of whole Slovenia. Collection of data has become a relatively easy task, since thanks to the internet and the ubiquitous presence of smart devices; everyone has data at their disposal. The usual way to deal with data faster is to employ parallel computing, using one of the many tools available. The mentioned method is one of the most promising methods, until the arrival of quantum computers that is. Smart watches, phones, tablets, glasses, bracelets, televisions, cars. All of the mentioned devices bear a great potential and could be exploited as a data mining and knowledge discovery tool.
