ABSTRACT

This chapter begins by describing the various jobs available to forensic psychologists. Forensic psychologists can work in numerous settings, and this chapter describes working in colleges/universities, private practice, correctional facilities, state forensic hospitals, court clinics, juvenile detention/treatment centers, law enforcement agencies, and research institutions. This chapter concludes by highlighting the importance of ongoing professional development as a way to enhance professional competence, with a focus on reading professional journals, joining professional organizations, and participating in continuing education.
