ABSTRACT
Subject knowledge: an essential tool of any teacher’s kit. But with the workload burden, it can often be hard to find the time to develop that knowledge and stay up to state with academic and pedagogical developments. This chapter discusses the value of good subject knowledge and the challenge of developing it along with strategies for new teachers to develop it without a large burden on time.
