Fast forward or living in a permanent state of nature? 1

There is need to reflect on the dichotomy between ‘nature’ and ‘political or civil society’ – otherwise firmly established in political theory of philosophers like John Locke. There is need to foreground some of his classic philosophical statements in order to reflect on different contexts, which Locke perhaps did not envisage. Challenge lies in pushing his statements beyond their logical limits.
