Escalating healthcare costs continue to affect the entire marketplace from delivery to the financing of healthcare services. To be cost competitive, interest focuses on improving business processes and their supporting information technology platforms. Infomediary specialists have used numerous techniques to review a business process. Cyber-health’s ability to create an interoperable environment for health data will promote complete data-driven decisions that minimize potential for medical errors and provide optimal solutions. Within an interoperable virtual cyber-health environment, the infomediary specialist can ensure that these critical data are available to all of the patients’ healthcare providers. Cyber-health’s ability to create interoperability coupled with appropriate user internal controls will promote electronic data integrity. Cyber-health’s ability to create interoperability will require strong internal controls and integrity of the health and financial data collected during an episode of care.
