ABSTRACT

Martin Luther King Jr., excerpt of speech delivered 28 August 1963, at the Lincoln Memorial, Washington, D.C. This is undoubtedly one of the greatest speeches in history and one of the many great speeches made by King. Martin Luther King did not start the American Civil Rights Movement. The origins are multi-faceted, but probably the most significant event was the founding of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People in 1909, 10 years before King's birth. The futurizing voice is powered by non-linear complexity and cannot be a product of daemon thinking. It takes a different view on the events of 1955, the Civil Rights Movement, and more broadly Martin Luther King's role. Martin Luther King was an extraordinary leader for reasons that go unrecognised. He connected deeply with close friends, family, and allies with his heartfelt voice.
