ABSTRACT
The final representation of quantum field theory that we will consider, the path integral representation, is usually the least familiar representation of quantum mechanics. Therefore, we will begin by developing the concepts and definitions in the context of ordinary, nonrelativistic point particle quantum mechanics. The generalization to field theory follows in the next chapter.
