Whenever an enemy comes from afar, their supplies and provisions will not be continuous. It the enemy is hungry while you are full, you can make your walls solid and not engage in battle, maintaining your stance for a prolonged period in order to enervate them while severing their supply routes. When they withdraw, you can secretly dispatch unorthodox troops to intercept them along their route of retreat and release troops to pursue and suddenly attack them. Then their destruction will be certain. A tactical principle from the Art of War states: "With the well-fed await the hungry."
