ABSTRACT
Whenever you want to send the army out on campaign and mobilize the masses to attack the guilty and console the enemy's populace, you must rely upon the seasons of Heaven. If a ruler is obtuse and their government disordered, their soldiers arrogant and the people in hardship, they dismiss and expel worthy men, they execute the innocent, while drought, locusts, floods, or hail arise in the enemy's state and your army attacks them, it will always be victorious. A tactical principle states: "Accord with the seasons of Heaven and govern campaigns of rectification."
