ABSTRACT
In warfare, whenever you are numerous and the enemy few, they will certainly fear your army's power and retreat without engaging in battle. However, you must not strongly pursue them because things that become extreme tend to revert to their opposites. It would be appropriate to constrain your forces and slowly advance, for then you will be victorious. A tactical principle from the Art of War states: "Do not pursue an impoverished invader."
