ABSTRACT

This chapter focuses on the social revolutionary leadership in the post-political victory period, those elements that constitute the leadership, and their implication for the social revolutionary project. Revolutionary strategy denotes the social revolutionaries' plans in the post-political victory period for the operationalization, implementation, direction, and coordination of the constructive transformation of society. The revolutionary strategy has as its principal component the mobilization and socialization of the population. During the final, defining phase of the social revolutionary process, organization is the link between ideology and action. Revolutions are often internationalized well before the achievement of political victory. Organizational leaders work with the visionary leaders to create the social revolutionary strategy and to implement it. The place where the visionary and organizational leaders meet is in the vanguard party. The concept of the vanguard party coincides neatly with an increased recognition of the role played by people.
