Women in Contemporary Northern Sudan

Some of the figures from Sudanese sources may seem outdated, but they are indicative of the statistical constructs developed in the years represented and the ways that demographic ideology has been shaped. While recognizing that all demographic models are social constructs, I have presented an overview of the situation for women, using insider / outsider sets of statistics.1
