Relaxation of the interface
The equilibrium conditions of the two-phase system are considered in Section 6. We discuss them in more detail, taking into account the contribution of the phase interface, and in addition take into account the process of relaxation of the intense parameters. Let the equilibrium state be established in the isolated system (deS/dt = 0), and the progress of the process in the vicinity of the equilibrium point is considered dS/dt = di S/dt>0, and let the relaxation stage belong to the state of the interface (within each phase, a fast alignment of the properties is assumed). The main attention is paid to the very process of establishing a local equilibrium, in order to analyse the relaxation of the intensive parameters from it. (Such problems are not considered in traditional non-equilibrium thermodynamics , using the conditions of local equilibrium).
