ABSTRACT
Chapter 7 deals with possible sources of data such as textual data and using participants. Finding and recruiting enough participants can be challenging. This chapter provides some strategies for overcoming problems that may arise. This includes using colleagues, home institutions and the university language centre. The chapter provides a template for constructing a participant information sheet. This is necessary to demonstrate informed consent in a research project. Questionnaires and interviews are highlighted as data collection methods with examples.
