ABSTRACT
This opening chapter offers an introduction section with several aims. The primary objective is to introduce the chapters in this research monograph. The secondary ones are to make a case for ‘occupational education’ as an area of research and offer an overview of this monograph with the intention of discussing the contributions and implications of the offerings in the final chapter. The next section will indicate the rationale for offering a possible area for consideration regarding work-related education. This section is followed by a delineation of the salient features of the chapters in this collection and finally, indicating a structure for the final chapter.
