ABSTRACT

Schools need to make sure that students are getting health check-ups from their doctors. With the help of the school in ensuring healthy diets and providing enjoyable physical activities, every student will have the opportunity to have a healthier life and to prevent themselves from becoming obese. Health is more than freedom from illness, disease, and debilitating conditions. Cardiorespiratory endurance is probably the most important aspect of physical fitness because it has a significant impact on health and dramatically influences physical performance. Exercise is an integral part of students’ lives and provides them the health benefits they need. Exercising helps prevent obesity, increases endurance, reduces the risk for certain diseases, and delivers nutrients to the body’s muscles and tissues. Exercise should be balanced and should include both cardio and weight lifting to get the most benefit. The challenge for physicians is to improve the overall well-being of a population which is diverse and complex.
