ABSTRACT
This chapter considers Pentecostal Christology from a relational perspective. The first section explores Christ’s relations, according to the full gospel, with both the recipients of Christ’s work and the enemies that this work overcomes. The chapter then turns to Christ’s relations within the Godhead, variously understood. All Pentecostals agree that Christ is the divine Lord, the eternal Son, and the sender of the Spirit. However, this is not always understood in trinitarian terms. Thus, Oneness Christology is briefly presented, before attention moves to trinitarian understandings. Their simplicity in ordinary Pentecostal theology is noted, before final sections suggest a path toward a Pentecostal Christology that is oriented both toward God’s Spirit and toward the eschaton.
