ABSTRACT

There is a link between Type 2 diabetes and hypertension, coronary heart disease, kidney disease, and even male and female sexual physiological arousal dysfunction. The element common to these seemingly disparate medical entities is oxidative stress damage to the arterial vascular endothelium that helps to regulate blood flow and pressure, and myocardial function… even kidney filtration rate. Endothelial dysfunction is manifest in decreased nitric oxide (NO) formation causing a failure in all organs that rely on need-based increased blood flow response to changes in activity.
