ABSTRACT

Chapter 2 explores research conversations between the researcher and organisational members and how the researcher can become a resourceful conversation partner. To this end, the theoretical premises behind gesturing and responding in adjusted ways is presented by exploring concepts such as language as ontology, organising understood as meshwork, and the differences between reflexive and reflective ways of communicating. Based on these theoretical premises, six practices are presented, empirically illustrated, and discussed. The chapter concludes with an invitation to the reader to begin to develop his or her own ways of exploring adjusted gestures and responses in research conversations with organisational members.
