ABSTRACT

The NaAl(NH2) 4 quaternary compound, which crystallizes in the monoclinic structure with the lattice parameters a = 732.4 ± 0.6, b = 605.0 ± 0.5, and c = 1318 ± 1 pm and β = 94°00′ ± 0°15′, is formed in the Al–H–Na–N system (Molinie et al. 1973). This compound was obtained by the action of sodium solution in liquid NH3 on Al metallic in tubes sealed at ambient temperature.
