Soul, will, and Choice in Islamic and Jewish Contexts

In this chapter, I explore a variety of “will threads” across medieval Islamic and Jewish thought, ¹ including Aristotelian and Neoplatonic trajectories, philosophical and theological topics in psychology, epistemology, metaphysics, and ethics, and considerations of theories of Divine Will and their impact on theories of human freedom and genuine choice.
