ABSTRACT
Great care must be taken when identifying the benefits desired from any investment, because they will shape the nature of the initiative and the behaviors of the delivery teams and those people working in the operational environment, which will result in the changes required to realize the benefits. The benefits identified and publicized as the desired result of initiatives will shape stakeholder expectations and their criteria for success, as indicated in Figure 6.1.
