ABSTRACT
N ot long ago my mother called to ask me for advice. It seems that after several months of par-ticipating as a commenter on a politically oriented blog, a fellow commenter with whom she had had many debates and discussions decided that he had fallen in love with her. Indeed, he was proclaiming his love and admiration publicly on the commenting forum and pleading with her to make contact with him in person. She was, to say the least, surprised at this turn of events.
