ABSTRACT

This chapter focuses on some of the key features and learning points. It considers the model and approach alongside transactional analysis and person centred theory, as other theories that can be used in a workplace setting to aid an understanding of how we are, for the benefit of how we are, at work. As an integrative practitioner, bringing in and using multiple theories is a part of the way work, and of course there are other theories which might help us think about how people lead, how people influence others, and how interpersonal professional relationships at work are affected by individual life experiences. There is something useful about understanding how work relationships stem from all experience of life and that people can repeat patterns that have been developed in childhood. The work could be perhaps part of the new wave of being human at work, a new wave of psychotherapy and training for work.
