ABSTRACT
Chapter 10 examines memorial rituals performed by three social movements: (1) the School of the Americas Watch; (2) the Migrant Trail Walk; and (3) Witness Against Torture. It reveals how their efforts contest the imperial dimensions of United States’ policy and construct symbolically rich modes of solidarity with the racialized targets of state violence.
