ABSTRACT
In chapter 2, the fundamentals and algorithms of the semi-analytical methods and analytical methods have been discussed with the brief literature review. The detail and algorithms of such semi-analytical and analytical methods, viz., homotopy perturbation method (HPM), homotopy perturbation transform method (HPTM), modified homotopy analysis method (MHAM), fractional sub-equation method, improved fractional sub-equation method, (G’/G)-expansion method, improved (G’/G)-expansion method, modified Kudryashov method, Jacobi elliptical function method, and successive recursion method have been discussed. Also, some new methods like modified homotopy analysis method with Fourier transform method (MHAM-FT), new tanh-sech method, and other new methods proposed by the authors have been reported.
