ABSTRACT

Chapter 9, “Joining public and private anti-corruption efforts”, summarizes the findings both of the international comparative effort and of the in-depth analysis of one specific experience, once again, set in the international context. The efforts of the United Nations within both the public and private sectors of the economy are compared and an operational proposal is made to promote the flourishing of the anti-corruption environment. Such proposal could be deployed both at the country level and at the United Nations level. Finally, the chapter book presents some preliminary conclusions and lists some directions for future work.
