ABSTRACT

A 15-month-old male is brought to the emergency department by his mother for a “cold that just won't go away.” When you ask her to elaborate she describes that her son has been having “belly pain and a poor appetite for the last few weeks.” She decided to bring him in today since he's become progressively more “tired, sleepy, and is now making fewer wet diapers.” https://s3-euw1-ap-pe-df-pch-content-public-p.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/9780429435003/2bb12154-e53e-46cc-a47b-000836900a25/content/ufig151_1.jpg"/> https://s3-euw1-ap-pe-df-pch-content-public-p.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/9780429435003/2bb12154-e53e-46cc-a47b-000836900a25/content/ufig151_2.jpg"/> https://s3-euw1-ap-pe-df-pch-content-public-p.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/9780429435003/2bb12154-e53e-46cc-a47b-000836900a25/content/ufig151_3.jpg"/>
