ABSTRACT
A 5-month-old boy was brought for evaluation of bruises in his lower gums. The child has a past medical history of hemophilia (factor VIII deficiency). He has been doing well without any issues related to his hemophilia. The child drinks formula from a bottle and was started on rice cereal last month. The parents have noticed he has been chewing on the nipple of the bottle more.
