ABSTRACT
The last link in the chain between what Elliott Smith 1 termed Experimental Types of Mankind, and Homo Sapiens, is perhaps represented by the “Lady of Lloyds,” excavated when the foundation of Lloyd’s building in Leadenhall Street, London, was laid. This woman lived in Mousterian times or earlier, but did not belong to the Neanderthal race.
