ABSTRACT
In addition to negative emotions, teachers experience positive emotions in teaching throughout their teaching careers. The chapter identifies the sources of the positive emotional experiences in teaching which come from students, including gratifying graduation, students’ appreciations, positive changes in behavior and attitude, learning progress, and positive teacher-student relationships. According to the findings, these student-related matters are the symbols that signify the achievement of making a difference in students’ lives. Thus, when the teachers encounter the student-related matters, they may perceive themselves as a good and/or successful teacher. This positive identity may arouse positive emotions in them.
