Committee and vice chairman of its nationalities committee. 1952–4 vice chairman GAC Nationalities Commission. 1955–9 deputy director CCP.CC United Front Work Dept. Held a number of senior posts in the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference until the Cultural Revolution when he was severely criticised.
