ABSTRACT

This chapter overviews the health of those in Generation Z with a specific focus on illnesses and diseases, healthy eating and sustainable foods, caffeine intake, calories and portion sizes, sedentary lifestyles, and lack of sleep. Particular attention is paid to personalized medicine, eMedicine, organic foods, nutrition, fitness trackers, and other health advances. This chapter culminates with how various contextual factors and issues have impacted Generation Z’s views and behaviors on health and wellness.
