ABSTRACT
The Accenture report found that many companies are using digital technology to transform key areas of their businesses, a including customer-facing functions such as a marketing, sales, and service, and have implemented eProcurement systems, and some cloud-based procurement tools. As the reader should now understand, the principles of Lean and Agile procurement are based on those of Lean production, with the focus being on the customer, and the efficiency of the operation. To help reach the goal of Lean procurement, the following trends stand out as most likely to take hold for this to happen: Procurement and supply chain collaboration: Collaboration as a procurement trend is gaining prominence across all business sectors. Companies that develop Lean procurement strategies, integrating people, and process, and technology will surely benefit the most during their Lean journeys, and that's something that can all buy.
