ABSTRACT

Design of LCL filters is highly required for grid-connected systems. This chapter, with the three-phase PV grid-connected inverter topology, analyzes first the inductance and then the ration of two inductances, selecting the filter capacitor and resonance resistance. Based on these theories, an LCL filter is designed. The design of the LCL filter and parameters considered are illustrated in detail with simulation evidence. The waveforms depicting the output voltage with and without harmonics on the incorporation of the LCL filter prove the effectiveness of the design.
