ABSTRACT

In recent years, security problems on NCSs have received extensive attention for the reason that NCSs are vulnerable to malicious attacks. So far, researchers have done many researches on security issues and considered various forms of attackers, e.g., DoS attacks [172, 170], deception attacks [103, 98, 9], replay attacks [188] and so on. Though various attack schemes have been researched, optimal DoS attack schemes that are dangerous to NCSs have not been studied in depth yet. Moreover, it is very interesting to analyze optimal attack schemes for their serious harms on NCSs. On the other hand, NPC scheme is capable of dealing with dropped packet problems. Therefore, NPC schemes can be used to compensate random delays and consecutive packets dropout [104, 165, 35]. In practice, actuator saturation limitations generally exist in many practical control systems [146, 187, 123]. When control inputs are beyond certain values, actuators enter saturated situations, which may lead to instability of control systems. To the best of the authors’ knowledge, NCSs under DoS attacks with NPC schemes and actuator saturation have not been studied adequately so far.
